Effect of Control strategies on the Optimal control Analysis of a human-mosquito model for Malaria under the influence

Bakare E.A, Nwozo C.R

Abstract

We formulate and analyzed a mathematical model of a human-mosquito for Malaria with infective immigrants inflow and multiple control strategies. We carried out detailed sensitivity analysis and qualitative optimal control analysis of the malaria model and we find the necessary conditions for the optimal control of the malaria disease using Pontryagin’s Maximum Principle in order to determine optimal strategies for controlling the spread of the disease. We established the effect of the control strategies on the dynamical behaviour of the system using numerical simulation to illustrate.
