Capsule Endoscopic Image Denoising Based on Double Density Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform

In this paper, wavelet transform based capsule endoscopic colour image denoising method is proposed. Recent research in image denoising methods mainly focused on wavelet transform as its superior performance over other transforms. In this proposed method double density dual tree complex wavelet transform (DDDT-CWT) is used due to its ability to implement as complex and multi-directional wavelet transform. In this work, denoising is done in three colour spaces such as RGB, YCbCr and YUV respectively. The performance is compared in terms of Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity (SSIM) index and Feature Similarity (FSIM) index.
