Abstract

This research paper is about the detection human movement by using the image histogram in order to monitor body discomfort. Nowadays, most of existing system are using sensors to detect human movement, thus the cost for the system is expensive. The proposed method in this paper is to detect body discomforts by using the image histogram. In order to get the image frames, three webcams will be used to get three different angles. The programming used is Python programming and SimpleCV framework. The results shows that when a person does not move, there is no change in image histogram, but when a person move dynamically, the histogram will fluctuated respectively with the movement. It is assumed that when the histogram fluctuated for more than 30 minutes, the person is likely to have body discomfort.
