Bayesian Estimation of the Parameters of Maxwell-Boltzmann Distribution using Normal and T-K Approximation Techniques
Abstract
The present study is concerned with the estimation of parameter of Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution using various approximation techniques like normal approximation, Tierney and Kadane (T-K) Approximation. Several priors are used to attain the Bayes estimates of parameter of Maxwell distribution under different approximation techniques. A simulation study has also been conducted for comparison of these Bayes estimates obtained under different approximation using different priors.
