Analysis of New Internal Cooling Cogeneration Cycle Using Aqua-Ammonia

R. Shankar, T. Srinivas

Abstract

The present demand of power is due the increased population and the integration of cycle helps to meet the need. The integration of cycle not only helps to meet the need but also increases the efficiency. The cooling load usage in domestic and industries is increased day by day and it consumes more power. Hence the integration of power and cooling cycle helps to meet both the power and cooling, is the main objective of the paper. The new design of power and cooling is made for achieving both power and cooling output in single cycle using aqua-ammonia as working fluid. It has the double turbine followed by the condenser, evaporator, generator and absorber. Total power output of 24.7 kW is produced at 120 °C of separator temperature and 0.95 of turbine inlet concentration for 38 ton of refrigeration.
