Multi Facilitate Unmanned System and Sensors Technologies for Different Disaster Management

This paper describes a method of disaster management and detection of disaster using an unmanned systems. The unmanned system consists of a hovercraft embedded with a vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial vehicle (VTOLUAV) and an underwater vehicle. The hovercraft acts as the ground control station (GCS). This receives the signal from the satellite and local sensors deployed at the presumed disaster location. When the sensor data exceeds a particular threshold and a disaster signature is obtained, the sensors send a request to the hovercraft GCS. Immediately, the GCS launches the quad copter to the disaster location using GPS data. The hovercraft also starts moving towards that location. A camera and thermal imaging equipment are mounted on the quad for aerial photography. The GCS transmits all the data obtained to the available satellite, National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) and National Disaster Management (NDM).
