Implementation of a TCP Protocol for Cognitive Radio Adhoc Network

Cognitive radio network allows users to opportunistically transmit the information in the licensed spectrum bands. Cognitive radio networks (CRN) are used to solve the problem of spectrum scarcity in future. This paper finds the limitation of using already existing transport protocol in cognitive radio network and proposes a compatible transport protocol for CRN. To improve the successful end-to-end delivery of data, the spectrum characteristic is finalized by considering the feedback from the intermediate nodes and the destination. The proposed transport protocol is analyzed and this approach shows significant improvements in the quality-of-service parameters.
