The Analysis of Innovative Vocabulary Game as Instructional Media

Abstract



Language plays an important role to deliver the information. Through language, communication will be easier to understand and transfer from the speaker to the listener. Language also express our feelings and ideas. Teaching and learning English is not easier process. It caused by not all students understand about English. Fun instructional media will attract students’ interesting in learning English so the students will be not afraid in learning English. The usage of instructional media will be very helpful in language teaching and learning to enhance students’ accomplishment. But in implementing, there are not all teachers use this instructional media to motivate the students. This research means to analyze and the role of instructional media in the real situation that is the teaching situation using instructional media. The data collection method took from questionnaire, observation, documentation, and depth interview. The questionnaire used as the data usage and the role of instructional media. The data of observation is as documentation and depth interview is as the data of kinds or characteristic of media, the lecturers’ effort to create and used of instructional media. The subject of this research is English lecturers in STMIK and STIE Asia Malang. The subject in this research is as data source start from the usage of instructional media, the lecturers’ effort, and the role of media. The result of this study is the role of instructional media in the English language subject can clarify the delivery of lecture materials, increase student attractiveness for learning and provide entertainment as a distraction in the learning process.
