On Linear Stability Analysis of Magnetorotatory Triply Diffusive Convection with Viscosity Variations
Abstract
Linear stability of a triply diffusive fluid layer heated from below, which is kept under the simultaneous effect of uniform vertical magnetic field and uniform vertical rotation , has been studied by considering variable viscosity. A sufficient condition for the occurrence of stationary convection is derived. Further the upper bounds for the complex growth rate of an arbitrary oscillatory perturbation of growing amplitude for this configuration are also obtained. Further the results of singly and doubly diffusive convection case can also be obtained from the results derived herein as a consequence.
