Transformed and Original Cosets of Four Error Correcting BCH Codes

O.P. Vinocha, Ajay Kumar

Abstract

Horst and Berger [1976] introduced transformed cosets for Triple error correcting BCH codes. The transformed cosets has an important property that T_1=0, in the light of this condition it is easier to calculate solution of error locator polynomials by transformed coset rather than Newton’s identities In this correspondence, we describe a new method to obtain the locator polynomials for the transformed and original cosets of four errors correcting binary BCH Codes of length n=2^m-1 , which are key factor to determine the coset distribution of the BCH code.

Keywords
