A New Rotation Patterns in Successive Sampling Over Two Occasions

Deepak Majhi

Abstract

In the present paper, we have proposed a new estimator for population mean at current occasion in two-occasion successive sampling with the aim of sample partial regression coefficients. The bias and mean square error of the estimator is obtained. The estimator has been compared with sample mean estimator when there is no matching and the optimum estimator, which is a linear combination of the means of the matched and unmatched portion of the sample at the current occasion. Optimum replacement policy is also discussed and suitable recommendation has been made.

Keywords
