Virtual Laboratory Platform for Network Security Education in Cloud: A Study

The hands on laboratory systems plays a crucial role in the computer network education . The eLearning systems usually require many resources such as hardware and software. The cloud computing is the best solution for numerous educational institutions that cannot afford such investments. This paper presents a survey on certain Virtual Lab techniques. Virtual Machines provides a new security professionals and show how they can be used as a powerful simple and secure tool. Before the emergence of Virtual Machines a security lab required the configuration of multiple physical machines to replicate a network environment for testing. The focus is how cloud services can be used, how they can be integrated into the existing infrastructure, and how new inherent model look like.
