Application of Neuro Fuzzy Logic in DTC Scheme using XSG

B. Souha, S. Gdaim, A. Mtibaa

Abstract

The implementation of conventional Direct Torque Control (DTC) in Induction Motor drives suffers from complex tuning and overshoots problems. One of the various methods to tackle this problem is implementation of intelligent controllers like Neuro Fuzzy controller. In this paper, we propose the application of Neuro Fuzzy Logic (NFL) in the Direct Torque Control (DTNFC) of an induction motor in order to overcome the conventional DTC limitations. The NFL controller is shown to be able to reduce the torque, Stator flux and current ripples. The design, implementation and simulation of the overall drive system are performed using MATLAB/Simulink program and Xilinx ISE Design (XSG).
