Hybrid Reliability Sampling Plan for Gamma Lifetime Model

S. Balamurali, Muhammad Aslam, Il-Gyo Chong, Mansour Sattam Aldosari

Abstract

Reliability sampling plans are used to determine the acceptability of a product at some future point in its effective life. In this paper, a new hybrid reliability sampling plan is proposed when the life time follows a gamma distribution in which the number of failures to be observed and the life test truncation time are determined through a heuristic search procedure. The proposed reliability sampling plan is quite advantageous as it provides savings in resources and total test times with desired protection.
