Integer Programming Model for Power Grid Evaluation Considering System Peak Regulating Constraints

The peak regulation constraint is the main bottleneck which restricts the wind power accommodation capability of the power grid. The 0-1 integer programming model is established to analyze and calculate the system wind power accommodation capability to deal with the adverse influence on the power grid peak regulating capacity brought by wind power integration, considering the constraints of the system peak regulation capacity and conventional units’ response rate. By solving this optimization model, the system limit accommodation capacity of wind power in the study period and the relative units commitment plan are presented. In this model, the related constraints of the real operation conditions of units are considered, so the calculation results are closer to the real system operation conditions. By the 10-unit system simulation, the feasibility and characteristics of the model are tested.
