Parameter Optimization in the Process of Hydroforming Based on Genetic Algorithm

Hydroforming forms hollow parts with a kind of liquid as its forming medium.The main factors of the forming quality are the internal pressure and axial feeding amount. Aimed at molding specimens, this paper puts forward the evaluation index of specimens, that is the Maximum thinning rate and shape difference rate. Through the method of linear regression, the regression equation of the evaluation index and influence factors are obtained, then the relationships between the main factors of affecting the specimen quality and the evaluation index are given, finally function and moderate function are constructed. Using all the high search capability of genetic algorithm, the optimal molding parameters of the specimen are obtained, and it provides the theory basis for process parameters optimization of hollow parts in the hydroforming process.
