New distance measure of intuitionistic fuzzy sets

In this paper, a new kind of distance measure in intuitionistic fuzzy sets is proposed. It can overcome the drawbacks of the distance measure proposed by Xu which doesn’t satisfy the basic definition of distance. Further, we study the correlation properties of this concept. Then, we apply it to the multi-attributes decision making, which the index weights are unknown. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate and analyze the proposed approach.
