The Effect of g-Jitter on Double Diffusion by Mixed Convection Adjacent to a Vertical Stretching Sheet

This paper studies the effect of periodical gravity or g-jitter induced mixed convection on double diffusion adjacent to a vertical stretching sheet in a viscous and incompressible fluid. The velocity, temperature and concentration of the sheet are assumed to vary linearly. The governing boundary layer equations are transformed into a non-dimensional form and then solved numerically using finite difference scheme known as Keller-Box method. The effects of the amplitude of modulation, , frequency of the oscillation, , Prandtl number, (Pr), Schmidt number, (Sc) and buoyancy ratio, N, on the skin friction coefficient, rate of heat and mass transfer are discussed in detail.
