A Front Tracking Method for the Solution of a free boundary value problem of a moving fluid underground

Abstract



The numerical solution of a free boundary value problem of the motion of a compressible fluid in an underground pipe is investigated. The numerical approach is based on a front tracking method of the free boundary. An algorithm is described and numerical results are given.
