Models for Global Temperature and the Effect of Carbon Dioxide - Case Study
Abstract
Natural occurrences such as wild fires and volcanos may cause global temperatures to rise. We humans, are also contributing to it by our activities. Greenhouse gases produced by our activities, mainly carbon dioxide, is instrumental in increasing the global temperature. In this paper we develop several regression-time series models for the prediction or forecast of average global temperature by taking the effect of carbon dioxide into account. The performance of these models are analyzed and discussed.
