Significance of prey harvesting in prey-predator system in discrete time scale using interval parameters

Abstract



Here we present a prey-predator harvesting model in discrete time scale using interval parameters. Due to the lack of precise numerical information of the biological parameters
such as prey population growth rate and predator population death rate, we consider the parameters of the proposed model with imprecise data as in the form of interval in nature.
The proposed prey-predator harvesting model is presented with Holling type II functional response to describe the predation of predator by introducing parametric functional forms
of interval numbers. Here the whole system is modeled in discrete time scale. Our study reveals that harvesting effort plays an important role not only on the stability of the system but also to control the chaos where interval parameters play a significant role. Computer simulations of numerical examples are given to explain our proposed imprecise model in discrete time scale and for observing and detecting of chaotic behavior of the system by performing initial sensitivity, Lyapunov exponent, power spectral density and recurrence plot test.
