A Queuing Model with Heterogeneous Servers for Specific Service on Health Sector

Manish Kumar Pandey, D. K. Gangeshwer

Abstract

Queue models are very helpful in computer science, road traffic, banking and health sector for making effective decisions. Heterogeneous is the characteristic of containing dissimilar constituents or capabilities. Heterogeneity of service is a usual feature of natural life multi servers queuing situation. The heterogeneous service mechanisms are priceless scheduling process that allows patients to obtain different quality and speed of service. There are limited numbers by C servers or service stations. The patients come in pursuance to a Poisson process and service time pursues exponential distribution. Every patient wants particularly one server in respect of its service and the patients choose the servers on the fastest server first basis. The present paper deals with a queuing model with heterogeneous servers for specific services on health sector. The transient probabilities when there are three servers have been derived. Some performance measures of the proposed queuing model have been obtained. The probability of patients finds system is busy when there are three and four servers have been compared and discussed.
