Improved Faulty Line Detection Method for Small Current Grounding System

To enhance the accuracy of small current grounding fault detection in neutral non-grounding system (NUS), a new method on wavelet packet transform (WPT) deposition is proposed. Firstly, applying WPT deposition, the representation of root mean square (RMS) values is presented. Afterwards, the three criteria on RMS values are effectively integrated with Back-propagation (BP) neutral network. Through SimPower simulations, the results prove the proposed method has high accuracy for the small current grounding fault detection in NUS.
