Application of Coordination Control Optimization Method of Urban Main Road

Abstract



Along with the progress of the society, the development of economy, the increasing of vehicle ownership, the urban traffic problem is increasingly serious. Intersection as a node is part of the traffic network, in order to ensure the motor vehicles passing through orderly and safety, through channelized intersection and set signal control, but along with the increase in vehicles and each intersection is different in traffic flow condition, the signal cycle setting and split is different. Vehicles often can not pass directly in the intersection, needing to wait for the signal. To solve the problem, to realize the continuity of urban trunk road traffic flow, the paper research urban trunk road signal coordination control from the aspects of upstream and downstream intersection cycle, phase difference, split, etc.
