Data analysis approaches of incomplete fuzzy soft sets

Sisi Xia, Zhi Xiao, Xin Dang

Abstract

Incomplete information is inevitable while soft sets are used to deal with uncertain problems. Considering the characteristic of mapping function in fuzzy soft sets, a novel data analysis ap-proach of incomplete fuzzy soft sets is presented in this paper. This approach is based on pairwise comparison. It involves the construction of a comparison table from a fuzzy soft set. This method neither needs to fill the incomplete values with other values, nor requires changing the size of objects in the original soft set. Moreover, weighted fuzzy soft sets are also considered. For the purpose of demonstrating its validity, an example of information system quality evaluation is in-vestigated. Compared with other algorithm, the results show that the approach proposed by this paper is more preferable to reflect the practical state.
